The CEPU supported our fellow union the Maritime Union of Australia at their rally outside the office of Matt Williams MP at Glenelg on Friday February 19, 2016, to show the Federal Government that the nation’s shipbuilding industry, which includes many CEPU members, is too important to off-shore, from a jobs point of view as well as from a national security point of view. We thank the many CEPU members who attended this rally to show solidarity with our MUA brothers and sisters and stood up for workers’ rights in our maritime construction industries.
An SA Branch Conference was held on the 8th and 9th of October this year. Branch Conference is held for elected Branch Conference delegates and State Councillors to debate and decide SA branch policy and plans.
